چکیده
Abstract Weakly Interacting Massive Particles (WIMPs) are among the best-motivated dark matter candidates. In standard scenario where freeze-out happens well after end of inflationary reheating, they in tension with severe experimental constraints. Here, we investigate thermal WIMPs occurring during while inflaton ϕ coherently oscillates a generic potential ∝ n . Depending on value and spin decaying products, evolution radiation energy densities can show distinct features, therefore, having considerable impact behavior WIMPs. As result injection entropy parameter space compatible observed DM relic abundance is enlarged. particular, WIMP thermally averaged annihilation cross-section be several magnitudes lower than that case. Finally, discuss current bounds from indirect detection experiments, explore future challenges opportunities.

Heavy particle production during reheating
We discuss production of heavy particles during reheating. We find that the very energetic inflaton decay products can contribute to the production of massive stable particles, either through collisions with the thermal plasma, or through collisions with each other. If such reactions exist, the same massive particles can also be produced directly in inflaton decay, once higher–order processes a...

Understanding the nature of the Dark Matter (DM) is one of the current challenges in 1 modern astrophysics and cosmology. Knowing the properties of the DM particle would shed light on 2 physics beyond the Standard Model and even provide us with details of the early Universe. In fact, 3 the detection of such a relic would bring us information from the pre-Big Bang Nucleosynthesis (BBN) 4 period,...
متن کاملDomain wall production during inflationary reheating
We numerically investigate the decay, via parametric resonance, of the inflaton with an m2#2 potential into a scalar matter field with a symmetry breaking potential. We consider the case where symmetry breaking takes place during inflation, but where thermal symmetry restoration cannot occur during or after preheating. We show that when expansion is not taken into account during reheating, non-...
متن کاملGauge invariant metric perturbations during reheating
The possible amplification of gauge invariant metric fluctuations in the infrared sector are very important during reheating stage of inflation. In this stage the inflaton field oscillates around the minimum of the scalar potential. The evolution for the super Hubble scales gauge invariant metric fluctuations can be studied by means of the Bardeen parameter. For a massive scalar field with pote...
متن کاملEvolution of Cosmological Perturbations during Reheating
The behavior of scalar perturbations on superhorizon scales during the reheating stage is investigated by replacing the rapidly oscillating inflaton field by a perfect fluid obtained by spacetime averaging and the WKB approximation. The influence of the energy transfer from the inflaton to radiation on the evolution of the Bardeen parameter is examined for realistic reheating processes. It is s...
